Certainly suggests some sort of hack! Nothing is working and systems say it's all ok. We pay Sky way too much money for this sort of **bleep** service

Mine has gone off too around 9.40 pm Merseyside, tried everything and it won't work. What is the reason??

Re: Sky App and TV not working
Just happened again Sky. In the past 8 weeks, there has been a massive change to the quality. Years with superb service, no issues and generally good customer service have been followed by issue after issue.
Does this resonate with the sky community or can anyone offer any helpful guidance to prevent constant reboots? I pay the max bill and would welcome sky's view for recompense?

Re: Latest Sky Q software version
Just done it again, 4 times now. Research tells me it's happening all across the country, over 10000 reports of issues. Sky better pull their finger out! I can't keep resetting this box. Also means my mini boxes aren't working. I wonder what sort of apology we will get...

Mini box unable to connect to activation server????
I just switched on the mini box in my bedroom, all was fine, then all of a sudden, screen went black and the message
"Your Sky Q Mini Box has not been able to connect to activation server"
Appeared... it also says there may be a temporary issue with the activation server. Please try again later.
Does anyone know what this means and more importantly how to resolve it? I have already switched off the box, unplugged and restarted it but it made no difference. Now restarting everything including main box and broadband hub. Any help gratefully received. Thanks in advance.

software version 300.000.06.00L is buggy Qboxes are decked. all my family and friends who have sky as well as me reporting the problem too

Yes, mine is the same it just says no signal even though the SkyQ box shows a green light for being on, a red recording light & the blue halo around recording light.
Sky pages say "no issue". My daughter who lives 20 miles away has the same issue. They've given up on plugging etc.,

It's starting to feel like a typical issue of a dodgy update thats been pushed into PROD this evening by the software engineers. Did they not rigorously test this update in dev/test/staging environments?!

I tried to force a software update but came back on with same version and same fault after 10 mins with box crashing. It's national as on the sun website and downdetector. Im unplugging it for the night & going to bed. Hopefully we'll get some info from Sky tomorrow or a software rollback we can do.
