Sky q remote not controlling sky. I’ve tried all the online steps and re pairing an old remote

My remote has stopped working.  I've changed to a spare one we have but it won't work, even following the online steps to unpair the old one and paring the spare one we have.  Frustrating.

Hi @Jellyj1 

Have you tried pressing the Standby button (Amber led) on the front of the Q box.
If this turns the Q box on
With the Q box on with green led try completly resetting your Bluetooth remote.
Press and hold 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then make sure that you are pointing your remote at the Q box and press 1 & 3 together until the led flashes and follow onscreen instructions to re- pair to TV.

Hi thanks for the reply.  I get the the on screen instructions where it's says 'press the home button when the screen goes blank'.  Nothing happens when I press the home button.  Can get to this point with both remotes but nothing happens when I press the home button at the blank page.

Ah fab, clearly wasn't close enough as this has worked when I'm close proximity 😃😃 thanks so much!! 👍
