Sky q not compatible with new samsung f6000f tv

The new samsunf smart tv says the sky q box resolution is not compatible. I have tested the hdmi cable which the tv is says is okay.  I have rebooted everything more than once. The tv picks up sky on both of its hdmi ports but as it goes through the set up initially showing the sky screen it repeatedly then shows the same fault code ' mode not supported'. Resolution not supported. Change resolution of external device. Other older samsung  and lg tvs works. What is going on?

Could be an issue with the TV.

However, press 'Home 1 0 8 0 Home' reset the Q resolution to the most compatible.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

@SKYMANOR

That appears to be the Samsung number for a 'Full HD' only model, not UHD.

It's essentially an older computer monitor pretending to be a television.

Are you using it with a main Q box or a Q Mini?  The default UHD output from most main Q boxes cannot be displayed by a Full HD television set.
