My house is a long l shape with my router in the kitchen and my main q box opposite end ofthe l shape with one mini in a bedroom otherside of the wall to the main q box all hard wired with brand new cat 6 cable to the router.
Everything works fine.
New tv in the kitchen with new mini box, 18 inches away from the router. wont connect via wifi. everything else connects fine, no issue withi wifi on any other device.
The router was my own tp-link however that broke recently and I'm currently using the standard sky router. I can take the new mini into the bedroom and it will wps connect to the main q box, move it back to the kitchen location and no internet connection, cant connect to the router.
Any ideas would be appreciated

@Joshwarisdad What happens when you try to connect it to the Sky router by WPS ?
and have you tried an ethernet cable from the mini to the router

Ethernet works fine but I can't use ethernet unless I do through a brand new stone worktop which isn't going to happen.
WPS just times out and doesn't connect. I could power line it but it's ridiculous that I'm 3ft from the router and can't connect

I've used powerline for now which is really poor but it works. I'm also getting intermittent sound drop out on the new soundbar from the mini. Waiting on a new hdmi cable to rule that out first

Replaced hdmi cable and sound issue still happens. I did have it set to dolby plus as its output but that is unwatchable becuase the sound drops so frequently. Even set to normal it still happens but not as often. Absolute pants from sky

definitely the wps button on the router you are pressing?
and it's possible to have too strong a wifi signal but I'd be surprised.
the sound dropouts - do they ever have picture dropouts?
