Sky q mini box stuck on step 1 of 4 following new EE router being installed

New full fibre EE router installed today and  main sky q box and booster now are working correctly. Sky q mini box however when switched on will not go past step 1 of 4 of set up.
Mini box has been disconnected and reconnected, also reset without success. Any ideas?

Thanks for response.

Sky  tech said mini needed replacing but would be 10 days at earliest.

I decided nothing to be lost, so pushed WPS button on mini and it immediately progressed through steps 1 to 4. However, remote had no effect until I re-synced it to mini.

Now Sky mini box working well!

So you'd already pressed the WPS button on the other box? But that on its own didn't work? It's supposed to trigger it in software from the mini you're trying to connect without needing to press its own button.

Very interesting.
