If you are referring to on demand or catch up then these are first downloaded to the main box & then streamed to the mini from it.
If you are referring about the apps then if your home wifi is not SKY then it all goes through the main box as the minis only connect to your main box via a WiFi network generated by the main box.
If your WiFi is SKY or the minis are connected via ethernet I am afraid personally I am not sure
