Re: Sky q keeps going into standby overnight.

Standby mode is in eco to save energy. Go to settings, setup, preferences and change to active. If you have minis, change them too so they stay in sinc.

Re: Sky q keeps going into standby overnight.

@Babetta Hi, the standby mode is set to "none" not eco. So the box shouldn't go into standby

Hi @Ron+Gulotta

With Standby mode None You should still put the Q boxes into Standby with the remote when not in use.  They are not designed to be permanently left on.

Also in the early hours Sky issue a reboot command to all Q boxes regardless of Standby setting.  I assume this will put the boxes into Standby.

Using ECO here on all boxes so cannot be sure.

I think they don't go into deep sleep / cleanup and update mode in None. Thought they also wouldn't auto-standby, I must admit. Does it give a warning that it's going to do it? Is it always at the same time?

Re: Sky q keeps going into standby overnight.

It doesn't give a warning and it's always the same time. You csn check this if you go to help, select to view..., fix a problem and then it will be one of the articles, can't remember now and won't be able to chevk as everyone is sleeping. But no, it shouldn't do it in none. I'd still give active a go

@Ron+Gulotta unless Sky have changed things then the Q boxes all reboot in the early hours of the morning so this may be why your box is showing the amber light when you go to use it

Re: Sky q keeps going into standby overnight.

"Sky issue a reboot command to all Q boxes regardless of Standby setting."

Is that true?

If it is, it explains why my LAN still glitches and my security camera streams freeze despite the fact that Eco mode is set to None.

Whenever my SkyQ mini boots up, all LAN traffic is halted for at least 30 seconds and that includes video feeds from my cameras.  It's very annoying.

Re: Sky q keeps going into standby overnight.

If this is true, I'm done with Sky Broadband. As soon as my contract is up I'm leaving them. This messes up my VPN connection meaning my Synology server goes offline and I have to restart the VPN every morning.
