Sky q in converted garage

Hello all. I have converted my garage and wish to extend my Sky q to the garage . it is around 50 feet from the house. Would a sky q mini box work out there?

WiFi may well be a problem, particularly if the conversion used foil-laminate foam insulation boards.

Thanks for your response.

I was actually thinking of running the main Sky q box from the converted garage. Would the 3 miniboxes in the house be able to connect from around 50 feet away on the bluetooth.

Same problem either way (although it's WiFi, not Bluetooth)

Remember that it's the main Q box which requires the dish feed cable.

Hi @Ben90

Looks like you need exterior grade Ethernet from your Main Q box to the Garage.

Yes I was planning to feed the satellite cable into the garage. So if it is all run by WiFi would a good WiFi extender do the trick

Hi @Ben90

Afraid WiFi will not reach.   Only Q WiFi extenders will work with Sky Q

As I said you will need to run Ethernet cable between your garage and your house.

I'd suggest if you are running satellite cable then adding an ethernet run would seem sensible.
