Hi, we've been having lots of issues with our sky mini boxes which seem to lose connectivity to each other daily and sometimes multiple times a day. (Very hard to then get connections back even when turning everything off and on again including the virgin router)
I was on the phone for 2 hours today to Sky and eventually got the mini's connected after factory reset and then connecting then to the mainbox for 5 mins via ethernet.
the engineer mentioned maybe using powerline adapters if the issue cropped up again as it would likey be to do with the wifi and ip addressing.
30 mins later lost connection again, I've managed to restore by factory reseting one of the minis again (both minis normal now) but before i buy powerline adapters has anybody solved this issue before using powerline adapters?
the place i was just about to buy from mentioned they dont always work with skyq?
ive got one main box and 2 mini's had them for 6 years, maybe had the issue once every few months but this week we've had it nearly every day.
i did discover the main box was switched from eco mode to active so ive just moved the mini's to active too in the hope that fixes it

I have Sky Q downstairs & 1 mini upstairs, with Talktalk fibre. As I live in an old house with very thick walls WiFi is virtually non-existent and mesh networks don't seem to work either.
I've used powerline adapters throughout the house for a number of years with great success and Sky Q doesn't have any real issues. The mini box upstairs does lose the network very occasionally (it's only used at weekends and then not every weekend), so a quick reboot always resolves the issue.
For best results I use powerline adapters with WiFi so I can extend the WiFi network for other devices, but my Sky Q uses Ethernet to a switch, then cabled to the main powerline adapter and cabled from powerline to the mini box. I also use a switch upstairs so I can Ethernet from powerline to the tv. A great solution for me, hopefully for you too.
If you buy a powerline starter kit from Amazon you can try it out & return it if it doesn't give you the expected results.
