Sky q connecting to main router instead of boosters

As my.main sky q box is a distance from the main router, the Sky engineer put some white boosters in. My Sky q keeps connecting to the main router thus a weak Internet connection instead of connecting to the boosters.

How do.i get the Skq Q to forget the main router do it won't connect. 

I have already gone into settings and network connection, network setup and reset the connection which initially connect.to booster but then on its own re connects to main router.

How do I get the Sky Q to forget the main router so it doesn't have the option of connecting ?
