We have been having very similar problems with the Sky Q box as well.
it started freezing and jumping. Then the apps have stopped working and then this evening there was no access to recordings.
This all seemed to start when Netflix changes happened back in November. We have called Sky now on numerous occasions and they keep asking us to reset the apps and the factory settings.
I am losing the will to live with Sky and their support.

Looks like the Hard drive may be failing.
