Picture looks blue and red, really dark and distorted

Check that the HDMI cable between the Sky Q box & your TV is firmly in place. If that doesn't resolve it, try a different HDMI port on your TV. After that, you could try a different HDMI cable.
it would also be a good idea to restart your Sky Q box by putting it in standby and then turning the power off at the mains, wait 30 seconds, then starting it up again.

Not sure, checked all cables and turned off completely twice now seems to be back to normal
