Just got EE broadband installed and it is great apart from sky connecting to it .. problems with main Q box and mini.. is this a ploy by sky to make you take their broadband as everything else in the house works perfectly with it

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreThe Q to Q connectivity doesn't use your broadband.
It creates it's own 5GHz network (Ch 36 with 80MHz default) - if it's disconnecting then it's likely your EE router is broadcasting at overlapping frequencies.
Ensure your router is configured to avoid channels 36 to 48.
Also, the main Q box will no longer connect over 5GHz and will only use 2.4GHz. Ensure there's no steering enabled as this will cause disconnects too.

Thanks
I can watch tv fine but can't get access to anything that requires broadband - on demand etc
How do I check my router for those settings ??
