Hi.
My 79 year old pensioner mum has just been upgraded from a Sky + HD box to a Sky Q box.
She was using an old sky box to watch TV in the bedroom but it does not work anymore.
How can she get sky TV back in the bedroom without paying more on her subscription?
Can she use the old Sky HD + box or buy a Sky Mini?
Thanks

There's an additional monthly cost to have another television in use: it's the Multiscreen add-on (like Multiroom with Sky+)

No: Sky+ HD won't work and Q Mini boxes shouldn't be on sale.

You will need the Sky Q Multisceen pack ( like the Multiroom, pack you would have had on Sky+) to view on additional TVs.
Viewing on another TV with Sky Q, involves a Sky Q mini that connects to your main Sky Q box via a wifi or ethernet connection.
There is a one off charge for the Sky Q mini box, sometimes discounted.
It can be a self install, so no engineer needs to attend like for your main Sky Q box if you prefer.
Give Sky a ring to order a SkyQ mini and make sure you also ask for the Sky Multiscreen pack.
Have a read of the watching in different rooms article for Sky Q

Setup instructions here for the Sky Q mini to give you an idea of how it works.

There's no simple way to extend the video either - there's no RF signal like the old Sky+ boxes which was relatively easy to broadcast internally.
Q only has HDMI with HDCP which isn't easy to distribute.
