Sky connection de-activated after mains power restored

After mains power was restored by my mai ns electricity provider, following a cut that they had imposed, my Sky Q box no longer resonds to the activation button on its hand controller

(and in attempts to correct this, I seem to have lost any connection with Sky, (and my email has been disappeared by a  Microsoft upgrade imposed by a computer re-start!)

Hi @DaveBW 

Have you tried pressing the Standby button (Amber led) on the front of the Q box.
If this turns the Q box on
With the Q box on with green led try completly resetting your Bluetooth remote.
Press and hold 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then make sure that you are pointing your remote at the Q box and press 1 & 3 together until the led flashes and follow onscreen instructions to re- pair to TV.

I discovered thatv the restoration of power was only partial! The mains' return operated a partial trip on the consumer unit , which is normally and the two-position power circuit switch as extra protection. I re-activated the switch and found that all the problems were no longer operating

I had done my other experments (see below) while your reply was prorbably on its way to me, so thanks for sending it, but I am not trained in the things  you mentioned, - which looked like a foreign language! I've had the same Q box for a long time and its buttons are all th same black as the outer box!

One of them has a light in the center which is either amber, red or green.
