Sky broadband not connecting to tv

Done all the usual unplugged held down wps still not connecting to Wi-Fi on my sky tv. 
I've tried looking for a number to call but cannot find one. 
Sky wifi working on all other devices just not the tv

The TV or the Sky Q box?

 

You know you don't just press the WPS button on the Q?

I pressed the button on the router for a couple of minutes and still not picking any network up on sky tv. 
there has been some issues in the area with sky recently but others are now working mine isn't.

@Kp101 try turning off both Sky box and router at the plug. After 30 seconds turn on your router and wait for it to finish starting up before turning on your Sky Q box.

If it doesn't connect  automatically,  briefly press the WPS button on your Sky box and then within 30 seconds briefly press the WPS button on your router.

The area has no impact except that sometimes weather affects local reception or storms damage dishes. As far as the internet connection is concerned, it would break all internet services if there was a problem at the exchange, for example.

 

Pressing the WPS button on the router doesn't make its SSID show up on that list. It is used when you have already chosen it from the list and the Q box is trying to initiate a secure connection.

 

So the fact it isn't showing in the list in the first place is the big problem. If you look for it on something else like a phone (you'd have to "forget this network" first and start the phone wifi connection process again which you might not want to risk) does it show up there ok?

 

@Mark39  Can you do that? I thought the WPS button on the Q box is only used when you are connecting a mini direct to it?

@Mark39 @Chodley If you have Sky Broadband  you can connect the Main box to the Sky router by using the WPS button but its recommended if you have the Sky Max router to treat that as a third party broadband and not use the WPS button

Managed to connect 🙌 

I went through third part Wi-Fi even though I'm with sky broadband, it found my wife and entered the password and worked.

 

Not sure why it didn't connect through the sky option.

@Kp101 what clour is your router black or white as this will make a difference
