Sky box service unavailable because of a problem with your hard disk drive. But I can’t open anyth

**bleep**.   This service is not available because of a problem with your hard drive.
(probably recordings need removing).  Dad doesn't understand how to use the controller.

oh, and to top that the controller won't let me access the memory so I can clear the hardrive of unwanted recordings.

funny thing is, this is a common issue that keeps on emerging yet sky still hasn't corrected it, why is that?   The amount of money we pay for these services yet it's always failing, it isn't good value for money, not in my opinion.

very upsetting.

mum and dad live for their tv and I'm helpless to fix it.

do you get refunded when the service isn't working?

Hard disks malfunction.  Sky will replace the box for free if it's faulty.

They will probably credit loss of service from date of reporting the issue.

(Q manages its own space and recordings don't generally need to be deleted)

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own

@Daydantaboo as @PandJ2020 alludes to hard drive errors are normally terminal for a Q box meaning Sky will need to replace it. The link below should allow you to request a new box

If Sky do send out a new replacement box by  DPD they expect the old box to be returned REMEMBER TO REMOVE THE VIEWING CARD FROM THE OLD BOX 😀
