Why can I not just speak to a Sky engineer about this?

I have tried every type of reboot known to man and the simple answer is the mini box is broken.
We pay £15 a month to get this sort of thing fixed quickly and we cannot get to a Sky employee to get a replacement box!
We are being treated like mugs!
