Sky box not transmitting to tv via HDMI cable

I have an intermittent fault with my sky q box From standby, when it is switched on it fails to connect to the tv. Only happens 1 in 3 or 4 times but it's constant. Have to disconnect the hdmi and reconnect it. Then it works fine.

Have you tried a new HDMI cable?

Yes. I have 2 running to the tv. Have swapped them.

Does it fail to connect or does it just fail to switch the TV to the correct HDMI port?

Have you tried selecting the HDMI port manually when the issue occurs.

@PaulHamiltonjsy is your Q box set to UHD  by any chance ?  if so try putting it back to 1080 setting and see if it helps
