Sky box deleted all my recordings now un pausing things

My sky box has a life of its own!  I was in between houses and it wasn't in use but just had dish installed in my home 2 weeks ago and Everything was fine.  All my recordings were there and I could watch them. But randomly it deleted Absolutely everything older than from 5 days ago.  Must add I only had about 5% of storage used. And just today I was watching a movie,  paused it to put kettle on came back to movie playing and not from the paused moment either. Absolutely gutted. The whole reason I got sky in the first place is to do Exactly that!

Kept pausing it 15 times over and it would keep on playing after 3 seconds. Like it's possessed.

If I find now another program "play from begging" option is no longer there like it used to be. PLEASE HELP!!! Is my box faulty? Does it need replacing?

@Marie777 The Sky box only allows for a maximum pause time of a total of 1 hour so if you are watching a film from live TV and  pause it 4 times for 15 minutes each time then the 5th time it will not pause becuse you have used up your 1 hour if after watching the film you go back to live TV you will then be able topause live TV for up to another hour hope this makes sense

 I really don't understand how this thing works.  My "blue" chat bubble is actually red.. and I opened it twice and there's no one there to help.

Might be that you disn't do it inside the 48 hours so I've re-escalated it. Please check back inside that time limit.
