Re: Sky a mini box not getting Wi-Fi signal in new room
@Redstrpesleslie does this room have foil faced insulation boards in the walls by any chance? Metallic foil blocks wifi.signal and is quite common in new extentions . If that applies the best solution is to buy a Powerline Networking kit which uses the mains wiring to carry the data. You can buy the kits to include a wifi access point you would need to connect the Q mini to thecadapter by ethernet and connect other devices to thecadapter's wifi. That solutionalso applies if the room is a long way from the hub in the main property.
Just adding a new Sky Max booster might help the phone etc the Q mini cannot be connected to the pod instead it has to connect to a closed signal from the main Q box so would require a different Sky booster which is comptable with Sky Q but cannot connect your other devices.
65inch Sky Glass, 3 Sky Streaming Pucks, Sky Ultrafast + and Sky SR213(white Wifi Max hub) main Wifi from 3 TP-Link Deco M4 units in access point mode
