@CarrieGlenn
Firstly check that the connections from the Sky dish going into the back of your Sky Q box are still finger tight. Also check out the troubleshooting on this link
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-tv-no-satellite-signal-sky-q
It may then give you the opportunity to arrange an engineer to check the alignment of your dish.

A misalignment is not necessarily something that will be visible to the naked eye and could only affect one or two channels. If you’re on a communal dish you may initially need to liaise with your landlord or building management company.

If the obstruction cannot be removed, what options do we have for restoring signal/connection?

Trees that don't belong to us have grown tall into the path of the signal. The tree will only grown taller and we cannot trim them so wanted to know what alternatives there are to a dish

@laineyx

If there isn't an alternative position for placement of the dish then for staying with Sky you'll need to consider Sky Glass or Stream if your Broadband is up to the task but research both first as it's totally different to Q.

TV channels are not working, they sometimes come on briefly then get a blank screen saying

This channel is currently effected by a problem with your satellite signal

Sky engineer came out and confirmed that trees had grown into the line of sight of the dish and degraded the signal. Fortunately it was possible to move the dish up approx one foot higher and along the wall about 6 feet where there was a decent signal so the signal issue has gone away now 😊
