Sky TV is showing Technical Fault since 1.50 pm

Postcode OL14 , lost all sky channels, just show technical fault.  Rebooting has no effect.

edit: the box is showing the menus now but nothing will play including recordings

Thank you Daniel, that sorted it.  I never cut the power when I rebooted (just standby).

Just a side note to say; satellite issues are never regional/area based (other than weather related) - it's one signal from the satellite for the entire area it covers on the ground. For those carrying Sky UK & Ireland that means;
