Extra channels via a red button is not a "new idea" though. TNT do it well....

Watched the Man United v Leicester game on the red button stream on Sky Q last night. The picture quality was pretty ropey, certainly doesnt look at all like HD although it streamed okay without any glitches. Dont know if its the Q box or the stream bit rate. but not nearly as good as streaming BBC Iplayer on red button . I rarely use the Q apps prefering to use the Smart TV apps to stream stuff as I am not convinced the Sky Q box is up to it.

Once again, trying to watch the Mansfield Town game on red button, SD quality, sound all over the place, like the old stand up , was it Stan Boardman, or something like that?
Really dont know why i bother with it, frustration every...single....time. Only one in the house, perfectly adaquate BB , everything else is fine. Ran youtube/Iplayer/netflix as a test, all work perfectly, but not red button...should be red flag!! 🤣

Without a doubt, i know it would bother me , id definitely be looking at alternatives when that happens. As an update, tried to watch the last 15mins of the game, lasted maybe 2 mins before i switched it off. Oh well, in principle its a good idea, just poor execution.
