Sky Sports + is awful - Why the radio silence from Sky?
I am not sure what I am looking to achieve here other than express my frustration at Sky on the Radio silence of their failed Sky Sports + launch.
Within the app, almost all games will periodically freeze. Sometimes the commentary goes off, or out of sync. Sometimes it displays an error message that it cannot play.
On the first day of launch I put these down the teething issues. However last night in the Carabao cup the performance of many the games became even worse!
I get it. It's new. They obviously botched the testing of it, it happens, these things happen.
What frustrates me more than anything is Sky are radio silent on acknowledging this issue.
Their contact centre rattle through a script to reset your equipment to no avail. They seem to deny there is any sort of problem.
The Sky twitter team do no respond to anything tagged with Sky Sports + problems, its like they have been instructed to be radio silent.
It seems they are taking the Al Baghdadi route to this problem.
Sky. We can see the tanks in the backround. Please stop pretending there is no issue and give us a meaningful update.

There have been a few individual threads on the subject of Sky Sports+ on the various boards. Some have been merged together by staff and have been commented on.
One such thread was

The total number of posts to this forum have actually been remarkably small for such a high-profile product, which does tend to suggest it hasn't 'failed'...

Just a quick count here shows 9 threads on the first page on the Q forum and the same number on the first page of "what's on". That's not zero and I think like me, most have now realised sky aren't listening.
You can add in a superuser getting abusive to a sky customer about the issue as a factor of why things may be quieter.

Certainly, but many millions of Sky television users are Sports subscribers (and from what I've seen the majority of posts are on the single topic of the loss of broadcast Rugby League coverage)
For a brand new service with no opportunity for testing at scale before launch I'd suggest that's actually extremely successful: do you really expect zero issues?
