While I agree Sky are aware and as you say they have done something I disagree they have done anything to resolve the issue. To simply mark the query as answered and add a comment asking people to add the answers to the set of questions they supplied in their answer. Not many people have answered with a reply to this giving Sky the details they requested. So to me this was a pointless exercise.

They have made no effort to highlight this problem or even to acknowledge there is a problem. It would be nice if they could update this thread with what was suppose to happen on 31/03/2026 that they had tried to resolve this problem. What they suggest they can try next. Mark this thread as not answered. 

The problem is not going away and we would all appreciate some updates from Sky.

A few more? As far as I can see, literally no one has actually provided the information requested. Must be a frustrating problem but also must be tricky to diagnose with so little to go on.

I replied to SpaceSparkies questions which can be seen in the chat/thread (whatever it's called). But it hasn't done any good. Perhaps the SuperUsers on this chat/thread  can advise the rest of us how to get Sky to mend this problem with Sports channels.

Hi, I also replied with the information requested by the. Sky agent. Plus I have updated this thread very frequently.

 

I had also spoken with Sky and had been told by the technician I was speaking to that they were not aware of it but she would check out this thread and would also raise it. 


I have regularly checked this thread for any updates. I feel I have done more than enough to try and get a remedy. It is because I am so frustrated by it at this stage. I do not feel I should be chasing this up but rather Sky should be updating me instead.

Sky Box changing channels

Hello,

I am having issues with my sky box changing channels on it's own when on the sports channels. When I am on one sports channels and switch to another, one time at least per day, it switches back to the original channel and this is even with a brand new box this morning. It is driving me mad! Is anyone experiencing the same issue? I have had a new remote, none of the buttons are stuck but it is the same result. The Sky engineer had no idea either

And they will when they have an update. The more data they can gather the better.

Yeah totally. It's a weird problem and must be so annoying. Which is why all the people who have just said "I was on 402 and it went to 401" partial info would really help if they could provide the rest though, as it seems like Sky need as much info as possible to diagnose this.

How much more information do you/they need ? We're watching one Sky sports channel it doesn't matter which one and the tv then changes to another Sky sports channel for no reason. It's as random as that.

The info that was asked for in the "Answer" post. I assume they've asked for it for a reason. Probably looking for a pattern which may not exist. But if it really is random, it will tell them that too.

I think Sky need to take some responsibility too.  The answer they provided on this thread has been lost with all the replies. When I googled the problem this thread had only started. Now for someone to find this thread it is 4 pages long (probably my input too 🤪) it is very easy to miss the reply from Sky. Or take it to mean they needed this info now 4 pages later they must have that. 

I am not sure what the answer is but Sky needs to communicate to us all. 1 post in 4 pages is not enough. Maybe they could pin a comment to page 1 updating us all. Then we would all be up to date. 

Communications or rather lack of is what the problem is for me.
