Incidentally, I am sure that Sky have spent a lot of money on pundits and commentators, e.g Johanna Konta, but I am not hearing any of them because I can't stand all the adverts so I have to listen to the world feed US commentators on the live courts. Not great!
Still struggling to find actual replays of matches on the Sky Sports app

At least Laver Cup is coming up... 🙂

@RichAA1 Still no reply to my response to the email from viewerR@sky.uk .I recorded the second men's semi in the early hours of this morning (UK time) and when I watched it this afternoon it went "end of recorded program" before the end of the match. Only replay available this afternoon was first semi so recorded second semi replay being transmitted tomorrow morning, hope it doesn't do the same!
You have to credit Sky, i guess it wasn't that there was an error in not providing full streamed replays or they were too cheap to buy that service, my best guess is they just want to maximise advertising revenue by 'forcing' viewers to watch the live channels. It's a pity that most of the adverts in the early hours are for programs on Sky Arts, Movies, documentaries, etc.

Hi,
Just a post US open update. I have cancelled Sky Stream explaining the reasons for so doing. The very helpful Sky representative said that as Sky isn't a streaming service, like Amazon Prime, it will be difficult to offer the same content, replays etc. Looks like will all have to rethink how we watch tennis in the future. Bye

Don't think Eurosport/Discovery consider themselves 'just' a streaming service, they managed quite well covering the slams. Companies need to evolve to give the customer what they want.

I wonder in retrospect whether we have all been missing the point and the agreement between the ATP and Sky was to purposely exclude any full match replays for streaming, as we get from Prime.
TennisTV is described as the "Official ATP streaming service". So, if Sky do not provide full match replay streams, tennis enthusiasts will have to subscribe to TennisTV, which will benefit them financially of course and possibly the ATP.

You may have a point, who knows, apart from ATP and Sky executives.
But as @RichAA1 said after his chat with a Sky Rep, Sky is not a streaming service so not in direct competion with TennisTV. TennisTV has been going for years and covers nearly all the ATP Tournaments from 250s up and there was no problem with the five years that Prime had ATP1000s and a few 500s which I guess is all we are likely to get with Sky.
It wouldn't be a great business plan for Sky if tennis fans left in droves to join TennisTV, but it would benefit the fans who then pay £90 per year in UK for advert free tennis on TennisTV (as it was on Prime also) instead of the £90+ per MONTH to watch adverts on SKY. £90 for TennisTV plus about the same for Prime per year, throw in Discovery+ and F1 TV Pro and you are still quids in.
Apologies, but I am getting more and more disenchanted with Sky's offerings and my renewal is upcoming!

I suppose that's another point we may not have considered. Most streams are advert free, so by not offering replay streams, Sky is maximizing it's advertising revenue by forcing us to watch live matches or recordings.

Can someone tell me what is the best streaming service for ATP and WTA matches which covers the 1000, 500 events and has catch up replays. Is it Tennis Channel and is it available in UK? Dreading 2024 when tennis drops off Prime

Did try TennisTV but the quality wasn't great, maybe because I was using a cheapo Prime stick. The Tennis Channel has a lot of extra content, you can always try it on a 7 day trial when there is something decent on, perhaps the upcoming Paris Masters?

The Australian version of Stan Sports is the closest to Amazon Primes' coverage that I can find. Its easy to sign up from the UK but you need to stream it to your TV obviously to watch it. It's not that expensive either (in my opinion anyway)

I think it's time to cancel my Sky subscription.... They've taken tennis from Prime and delivered a 3rd rate service... I mean much of the US Open is on when we're all sleeping... No options to watch The matches and players I like to see..... Sad a big company like Sky took over the tennis and they seem not to understand, that prime had a better service, yet, they don't seem bothered to fix this... Well time to say goodbye to Sky... If more people cancel Sky, maybe, they'll take notice.... Amateurs....

I have Tennis TV and it's fine. Odd occasion there's a lot of buffering but choice of courts and replays at your own convenience is available and its a third of the price of Sky with even further discount for annual membership. As a tennis lover in the UK I would recommend

Not only is it poor coverage there's still intermittent freezing on streams. Once I learned that sky bought the rights for both tours I feared the worse and I've been proved right.
high subscription price for second rate service.
