Hate to mention Prime? Why, they made it so simple to enjoy the whole tournament. Not favouring certain matches etc. it was so easy to access any court at any time. I'm finding it impossible to access the different courts on mobile and laptop. What a clunky system. You would have thought the premium Sky charge would mean they deliver a better service than Amazon. That's not the case, awful clunky system that has ruined the experience of watching the tournament...BBC also do a good job of doing Wimbledon. No excuses sky....

Nope, NOW has the same setup as Sky

The likelihood of no replays was my biggest fear when i heard Sky were taking on the tennis again, and so it comes to fruition.
If Sky want to be taken seriously as a tennis broadcaster they have to move with the times - and surely matching if not bettering their predecessors coverage should have been their number one goal.
How can Amazon who are relatively new in sports broadcasting get it so much better than a broadcaster who has over 30 years of experience? 🤔

How can a company like Sky not realise that match replays are essential when they are live during the night in UK! I called them today to ask about replays, it took the customer service person 40 minutes of going off several times to ask someone else and the final answer was that nobody knew !! It took for me to find this forum to get the answer. Shambolic

Posted by a Sky employeeMorning everyone,
After speaking to our Viewer Relations team, here is some information on replays:
We are offering 2 out of the best 4 overnight matches that take place the following morning/afternoon on Sky Sports Tennis. These could either be a front channel match or one that was on the Red Button. Unfortunately we cannot offer all matches in full.

I agree absolute disgrace the we can't see individual court replays in their entirety. To make it worst they have comment pieces with the results' headlines at the top of video replays giving away the results! eg All Brits win..... Sky you have let tennis fans down.

They need to fix this asap. SKY not fit for purpose as a tennis coverage service.

Why can't you offer all matches in full please and what is the criteria of "the best" matches? All I can find at the moment is highlights of Andy Murray, Carlos Alceraz and Venus Williams matches- yes highlights, not even the full matches. Given 5 British players played yesterday [removed] by buying the exclusive rights to show tennis in the UK, a basic expectation of your viewers is to be able to watch the matches that have UK players and not just two of what Sky arbitrarily call the best matches.
Pleases do the UK tennis fans a huge favour and do not bid on the rights to show any more tennis tournaments if this is the standard you are going to set.
Everyone in the US and the rest of Europe get to watch full replays on Eurosport, ESPN etc since they have decent broadcast providers who care about the level of service they provide to their customers.
As it stands I phoned yesterday to cancelled my subscription to your tennis channel but also reviewed my package as various things I had on discount had ended that I'd forgotten about - my bill is now £32 cheaper each month so thanks for giving me cause to review my subscription with you 😊

It's dependent on the host provider and the content they share, more information was shared here.

It's also a decision made by the broadcasters I'm afraid, Sky have no control over this. Similar to Saturdays 'Game of the Day' in PL Football, once all matches have taken place, an editorial decision will be made as to which match will feature in that slot.
The viewer relations team has passed on feedback already but I encourage you to send in your own to their email inbox: viewerR@sky.uk

With the few replies from sky it looks like sky themselves have very little control over what they themselves put out. Makes no sense to me and looks like sky have no idea how to record from the incoming streams.
I wasn't a huge fan of how prime did things but so far sky's efforts have been shockingly poor, from lack of replays, picture quality and how studio talk is more important than action.

I guess they should have negotiated harder when they bought the rights to air the content.
Not 100% convinced that explanation is true.. it you go to the Australian version of Stan Sports they have almost all replays available and all matches available in real-time, so clearly the "host" broadcaster is making these matches available for replays ...I guess sky have chosen to not make use of the content.
I'm fact if you go to the US Open Web site and search their list of broadcasters the vast majority have replays available well beyond what sky are showing.

Thanks for your comments @Chloe-W22 , but ....... I had always thought Eurosport (Discovery) a bit of a shambles in general as a channel but even they managed a better fist of their tennis coverage provided the same feeds by host broadcasters as is currently provided to Sky. Sky gets feeds of all matches, it cannot be that difficult to chop them up and provide replay streams via an app just like Eurosport/Discovery did for the slams and Prime did for ATP tournaments.

Valid point @pauljoehughes about Lexus. Perhaps copy them in to your emails to viewerR@sky.uk 😊
