Can a Sky Q box be installed in the loft?

Re: Sky Q
Not easily. Not sure a Sky engineer would do it, that's for sure. If an indie is doing it, or you, as long as it's in bluetooth range of the remote (seems unlikely) and you have a way to get a 4k HDMI signal all the way to the TV...
why do you want to do this? Keep it out of sight?

Re: Sky Q
Sky keep trying to sell me a Sky Q box, but I don't think I can use it in the same way as I use my Sky+ HD box, which is installed in the loft. An HDMI cable is routed through the house to my main TV and the Sky channels are changed using a magic eye connected to the RF input on the Sky+ HD box. This enables me to drop coax cables down into other rooms, so that I can watch Sky on multiple TVs, albeit the same Sky channel on them all. I know that the Sky Q box doesn't have an RF input, so I can't change channels that way. I didn't know it had a Bluetooth connection to the remote, so this might work, but perhaps not ideal. Thanks for replying.

Re: Sky Q
hi @DavidSinden
SKy would not install SKY Q in a loft
As @Chodley the Bluetooth remote would be OK - I have used mine from my back garden when my box is in an alcove in the front room (so through 2 rooms)
If you haven't seen them already, you may, also, wish to read some notes I have made for people considering switching from SKY +/HD to SKY Q

Re: Sky Q
The Q also won't be able to send a coax signal. You can get adapters that convert hdmi to coax I guess but the loss of quality gives me the shivers.
maybe you can run a cable UP from the Q by the main TV
