Sky Q volume up and down.

Suddenly, after years of service, my sky Q volume has started going up and down for no reason. It seems to be on recordings and catchup only.

I have turned the box off at the mains with no difference. It is on the main Sky Q box only and not the small box in the bedroom.

I am not sure in this case if it is the main TV, a new samsung.

Hi @dghand Check the HDMI audio format output in the Q box.

As it is a new Samsung it should take Dolby Digital

Home - Settings - Setup - Audio Visual.

HDMI audio format.

Re: Sky Q volume up and down.

The first thing I'd be doing is, just to be sure, swap the batteries on the remote/s and also, reset the remote:

Press 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then make sure that you are pointing your remote at the Q box and press 1 & 3 together until the led flashes twice and follow onscreen instructions to re- pair.  (Credit to @oldfella here).

Then, I'd be swapping the TV's over for an evening to see if the issue "follows" the TV or stays with the main box.

Good luck
