Sky Q viewing card How long does it take to arrive?

Engineer booked for later on but not yet received the new Q viewing card, which is need on switch over day from Sky+HD .  New Hub received in a few days, but still waiting, been over a week, for the  card.  Any idea, as difficult to talk to anyone at Sky to ask, as afraid list in post.

Hopefully the engineer will have spare viewing cards on his van. This was the case for my son just before Christmas and the card that was posted out arrived more than a week after installation.

@chocpud55  In addition to @Daniel0210  reply the Sky+HD may well be used depending on how old the card is as it can be transferred to & paired with your Sky Q box by the installer.  At least that used t be the case a while back

@chocpud55 Viewing cards are sent out to arrive a few days before the engineers appointment but this can cause problems if you dont get a postal delivery every day or there happens to be a busy period

what number does your current viewing card start with ?

It's quite old Starts with a 4

@chocpud55 yep you will need a new card as it used to be if your card started with a 7 or higher it could be used in a Q
