Sky Q turning TV off after pause / ffw
For about a week or so now when pausing my sky Q box, rewinding or fast forwarding programmes there is some weird glitch that happens. When resuming the programme there is no sound and then after 5 - 10 seconds my TV will turn off and back on again, it doesnt happen every time either. I thought this was just on sky channels but this morning it did it on Netflix as well which I have running through the sky Q box, not sure if it's hard drive issue or what?

I'm also having the same problem as @JK77 with my Sky box. When stopping fast forward there is no sound then my TV turns off. This only affects the main Sky box and not the mini box. This has been happening for about 3 weeks.

I'm still having the same issues @Addie15 , it's happened on Netflix as well as on the Sky Q recorded programme's, is this likely a hardware problem.

Re: Sky Q turning TV off after pause / ffw
I am also seeing the same issue. I am wondering if it's sky or my TV. I have an LG tv and my Sky Q is set for UHD output. My LG has been for repair and I had my smaller HD tv plugged in fora week and it never crashed once. So it either related to LG and or UHD.

Re: Sky Q turning TV off after pause / ffw
Noticed same problem with my LG TV with sound playing through Samsung DVD home theater system. If I take home theater out of the set up it seems to work fine. Unsure if problem is with sky q box or home theater system. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Sky Q turning TV off after pause / ffw
Sky Q box turns itself off whenever rewinding or fast forwarding in any app Sky, Netflix ,Disney..etc Slso happens after a pause and play command the sound is muted and then switched itself off. Very frustrating.

Re: Sky Q turning TV off after pause / ffw
Is there anyone who has any solution to this. I also have an lg TV & thought it might be my TV but looking at the amount of people who have had the same issue I'm thinking it's the sky q box

Re: Sky Q turning TV off after pause / ffw
I found the solution. Replace the LG tv.
my tv was still under warranty so I contacted Curry's They took tv and replaced the main board and brought it back within 7 days. Plugged it in and within 48h it was doing it again. I thought it was sky box but my Panasonic I had connected whilst the LG was away didn't faulter.
Contacted Curry's again. They took tv away but couldn't get parts for 3 weeks. Under their terms I was able to request a voucher for the value of the tv. Went to the store and purchased a Samsung. Never had an issue since.

Re: Sky Q turning TV off after pause / ffw
Mines 2 years I think. Still not convinced it's not the sky box though because why does it only do it when fast forwarding etc.
I've messaged Sky through Facebook this morning so waiting to hear back from them

Re: Sky Q turning TV off after pause / ffw
Yes I am also going to be doing that. Mines was constant last night. I am also going to draft an email to lg. Very poor quality TV if that's the case. Mines is 18 months old. Different serial no. I could see the fault if everyone had the same serial no but that's not the case. Will let u know if I hear from lg
