Sky Q return of uhd & mini box if with sky before 4 march 2020
Hi just trying to understand if i definately have to return my Sky Q mini box and Sky Q 1 TB UHD. After 23 years of being with sky, i have cancelled. they now want their equipment back. it talks about
Why do I need to return my equipment
Your Sky equipment is loaned to you if you’ve got Sky Q or if you joined or changed your broadband subscription after 4 March 2020.
is there anyway that i can keep equipment without being charged?

No: all Q television hardware is loaned by Sky and remains their property, to be returned if subscription ends.
Note that it has no non-subscription use, and selling or otherwise disposing of it is effectively theft.
BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2

hi @Ross16
That may not be the best worded statement.
You can't keep the SKy Q TV boxes as they are loaned and must always be returned when you cancel your subscription
TBH there is no point in keeping them as they always need an active subscription
The date refers to the broadband hubs as prior to that date you owned them but after that they are like the Q TV boxes - loaned and needing to be returned.
If you do not return them you will be charged a non retrun fee but the boxes still remain the property of SKY - although you do get refunded the non-return fee when they get them back.
