Sky Q reset every morning
Hi.
We've had our Sky Q box about 3 years.
It has occasionally frozen and we've had to unplug it from time to time to reset and then it's been fine. However, for the past week or so it has been unresponsive every morning, so we have to unplug and plug it back in to reset - not the end of the world, but quite annoying.
It doesn't happen every time we turn it off e.g. when we go out and come back, it often turns on fine. But there is something about overnight (maybe the length of time it's turned off).
Is this a known issue and is there a fix? How easy is it to get a new box and will Sky want to charge us (we've only very recently extended our contract).

Re: Sky Q reset every morning
You haven't said what time of the morning you're seeing this. If it's before 0600 check the standby setting on your box and change accordingly to active or none

Re: Sky Q reset every morning
Thanks. Although it's never before 6am that we turn it on. It could be anytime between 7am and 10:30am.
Plus, it doesn't just take a while to turn on. Nothing happens after about 10 mins... I wonder if it's something to do with the powersaving mode which is why it always happen overnight though.
