Sky Q remote not pairing after wifi disabled

Evening all, after frequently dropping the wifi connection on the box i decided to disable the wifi functionality and just use the ethernet. Did this and the remote control allowed me to go back and exit the settings menu and put the box into standby mode. Went to put the box on today and wouldn't come on,  changed the batteries just in case. Done the pres 7&9 together and the light flashes 4 times - result. But then nothing. Tried the HOME button then 1&2 together but the light DOESN'T flash. I feel i need to get back into the settings menu, undo what i did with the wifi settings but am unable to do so without the remote being functional. Any ideas?

Hi @Trent+Duvall

Don't know where you got the 1 & 2 from.

Try completly resetting your Bluetooth remote.
Press and hold 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then make sure that you are pointing your remote at the Q box and press 1 & 3 together until the led flashes and follow onscreen instructions to re- pair.

Hi @Trent+Duvall

Try rebooting your Q box.

To reboot press Standby on your Sky Q remote (if the box responds to the remote), and then switch off and unplug at the mains.
Wait at least 30 secs and then Plug back in and switch your Sky Q box back on at the mains.
Wait for the on screen instructions to disappear and the front led to turn Amber. Then wait for 30 secs before you press Home on your Sky Q remote or if this is not working press the standby button on the front of the Q box (Amber led)
Then try resetting the remote again.
note: some features may take up to 5 minutes to return.

When you press 1 & 3 @Trent+Duvall

You must make sure that you are pointing the remote at the Q box.

If the LED doesn't flash then it means it doesn't have correct line of sight.

Also have you checked your remote batteries.

Re: Sky Q remote not pairing after wifi disabled

Why have you mentioned about pressing standby when i've already mentioned that the remote/box aren't paired/responding?

The kight doesn't flash when 1&3 are pressed together  as also already mentioned and it is in direct line of sight of the box - 1 - 1.5 m directly in front of the box.

Seems to be stuck but need to get unstuck

Re: Sky Q remote not pairing after wifi disabled

Managed to get this issue resolved. I turned the box off at the wall for about 10 mins and also removed the new batteries from remote for about 30 mins. Turned the box back on at the wall, replaced the new batteries with some more new batteries (same pack) and then did the 1&3 at the same time trick. The red LED light flashed on this occasion so proceeded to reboot the box as per normal methods. Went into settings via the engineers mode and the Wi-Fi back on. Job sorted. Still would like the Ethernet to be the connectivity method of choice rather than Wi-Fi. Will try again sometime soon.
