Sky Q not working with new Samsung S95F

Looking at the community help pages, seems to be a reoccuring issue with Sky Q and new Samsung TV's. I have spent a lot of time with Samsung trying to get to the bottom, but ultimately fruitless.

I have a new Samsung s95F TV, qith Sky Q connected to the Television by HDMI. The TV will not recognise the Sky Q device at all - once the TV give-ups trying to recognise the device, the screen is blank with intermittant green screen (strangely, the Sky TV remote can be used to control TV).

Seeing as this is not an isolated issue; I have tied all options listed on this forum and on other browsers;

- Used multiple HDMI ports (ones that are working for other devices)

- Used different HDMI cables

- Tried the sky box on another TV - it is working

- Performed factory reset of TV

- Adjusted HDMI settings (HDMI-CEC)

- Software update

All of the above have not worked + Samsung support, after nearly 3 weeks have not been able to resolve. Any additional ideas? What would be the optimal Sky settings for this TV on Sky Q?

Thank you for your help

Hi @Malcolm1983

Have you tried setting the Q box to standard 1080i resolution.

First make sure that the Television is switched on and is switched to the HDMI input to which the Q box is connected.
Then with the Q box switched on with green led illuminated
Press
Home 1 0 8 0 Home
on the Q box remote control.

This will change the Q box to standard resolution which will normally work for all TV’s.

Have you set the hdmi port the sky box is using on the tv to use Input Signal Plus (or HDMI UHD Color) in the External Device Manager settings?

Re: Sky Q not working with new Samsung S95F

Thank you for the suggestion; I tried this whilst still plugged into the new Tv... it didn't appear work, I may plug the sky box into my old tv and give it a go so I can see if it has been successful
