Sky Q multiroom - Sky+ for Apple TV

Hi, I cancelled my Sky Multiroom because the extra Sky Mini box was glitchy and kept losing the network and I had an Apple TV in the room anyway and could watch on Sky+ on that. I didn't realise however that when I cancelled the Multiroom (and sent back the mini box) that access to Sky+ on the Apple TV would cease. So I went onto the website, found a deal to add Multiroom on a rolling monthly basis for £10 but now Sky have emailed me to say that I've signed up for 24 months (I didn't agree to that) and they are sending me a new mini box, even though I didn't want that either - I just wanted to be able watch Sky on my Apple TV!  I can't get to speak to anyone from Sky but wonder if anyone else has had this issue? Do you just have to store the mini box and wait to send it back eventually?  And how do you challenge the minimum term?

hi @Barry25

I have escalated your post to a SKY support team, who, hopefully, will be in touch & may be able to look into the extension of your contract when it does show it as a rolling sub .

Please see this link re the escalation and what you might see:

If you are using Safari I believe you must make sure that 'Hide IP address' is not checked in settings to be able to see it - if you have difficulty finding that setting then may be try accessing here with another browser

@Barry25

Your post is a bit confusing as you mention Sky+, but also mention Sky Q and mini boxes. You can't have both so can you confirm you have a Sky Q box and subscription?

hi @Barry25

Should you receive a mini box, then even if you don't want to use it, it is best to keep it until you cancel Multscreen again.

Unfortunately, SKY's processes are not geared up to receive kit during subscriptions.

Regarding, the minmium contract, it was probably detailed in the small print - it is extremely rare for them to offer discounts without minimum periods - especially on multiscreen.

You would probably need specific evidence of it being a cancel anytime without a minimum contract to be able to challenge

@TimmyBGood

I did wonder as the post was originally on the Sky+ board.
