Sky Q minis not connecting

New Sky Broadband Hub arrived today to replace Plusnet router.

I configured the router exactly as per the Plusnet router with separation of 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz and each with unique SSIDs and passwords. All devices on the network connected as before.

After sorting that out, I can access all apps and TV via the main box, which is the old main 1 TB box of 32C005 vintage!

I have an Ethernet connection from Sky Q main box to new broadband hub, as I had with the Plusnet router.

I briefly had connectivity from one of the 2 Sky Q minis (for about a minute) but am unable to get anything working now. Neither of the 2 minis work. Resets on both main box and minis don't work.

WPS doesn't work when trying it from the new broadband hub and also when trying it from the Sky Q main box. The minis will just not see it.

If I disconnect Ethernet from the main box and connect to the Broadband Hub over WiFi, it doesn't connect, despite the password being correct (I have tried entering the password numerous times without success). This is on 2.4 GHz SSID - Sky Q main box doesn't see 5 GHZ.

When I changed from the Sky to Pkusnet 18 months or so back, there were no issues such as this. Come back to Sky and this problems rears its ugly head.

I'm due a new Sky Q main box at the end of the week (part of an upgrade to (UHD) but I'm without access to miniboxes - multiscreen - for a few days.

I should point out that I have disabled the Sky Q boxes as access points but not sure that will be the problem.

Before I spend 45 mins trying to speak with someone tomorrow, has anyone got any pointers? Resetting the router to factory defaults is not an option - too many devices to configure.

When Sky is the ISP the Q television box 'hotspot' function is automatic default behavior and cannot be disabled without switching Q WiFi off entirely, so I suspect you've created a configuration conflict there.

Whether you have broadband from Sky or not, you can use your Sky Q mini boxes as WiFi hotspots. If you have your broadband from Sky, this is automatically set up. If you don’t have your broadband from Sky, you will need to turn this feature on
