Sky Q mini loses hard wired connection intermittently

I keep getting an intermittent drop of connection on my mini which reconnects in a few seconds. Both Sky Q and Mini are hard wired through a TP link powerline to my Sky router with a fixed IP address. WiFi is turned off on both. Is this possibly a fault with the mini? It seems to be more frequent when playing a recording.

The Powerline shows over 150Mbps so there does not seem to be an issue with that.

Hard to know for sure @Greytide17, the networking tech in Sky Q is getting quite old now, but in my experience PLA's are often the culprit in these situations as a minor blip on the electrical circuit (such as a device going on or off), can interfere and cause drops like this.

You could try resetting the connection on the mini or even a factory reset of the PLA can help, but often they are performing OK and the drops are caused by something else that is harder to pinpoint.

I used PLA's for 12 months until swapping to WiFi which weirdly, did give me a more stable connection (appreciate WiFi is not always possible).

Re: Sky Q mini loses hard wired connection intermittently

As a folllw up, I have tried wireless and the connection still drops intermittently. In fact it dropped in the first 2 mins of setting up the WiFi. I have checked the stability and throughput of the hardwired (Ping 11ms, 75Mb/s) so this does not seem to be a problem. I would like to try a change of Sky Q mini to see if that is the problem. How would I go about getting a replacement?
