Sky Q mini box no satellite signal

My sky q mini box is connected to the main box and I am able to access live tv and the tv guide, however when I try to access recordings or catch up tv or even the My Q Home Screen, they all display the message "To use this service, you need a satellite signal"

I have reset the mini box and the main Sky Q box and the issue still remains

all connections to tbe main box and WiFi show as good - but I still tried reactivating this

The box was working fine up until the past couple of days

Just to let you know - I have done a software update on the mini box that wasn't working and this has resolved the problem 🎉

 

For some reason the main box and the other mini box had automatically updated but this one hadn't - anyway completing the update has solved it

Hi @Vickey+B Try rebooting your router by removing the power cable for 30 sec then reconnect to reboot, then reboot your main SKYQ box by turning the power off at the socket for 30 sec then turn back on to reboot, do the same with any Mini boxes?

@Vickey+B  Did you do the steps likel this:

 

Power down the main & mini, power up the main box, allow to fully reboot (i.e you can see all live channels & on demand) then do the same to the mini?

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

I have tried all of these suggestions as that what the sky help already suggested but it still states the same

Tje main sky a box and another mini box are working fine after all have been rebooted

@Vickey+B Power down the main SKYQ box, then check the cables from the satelite dish to the rear of your SKYQ box are fitted tightly?

@Vickey+BAs you can watch live TV it will not be anything to do with your dish or cabling.
As you have another mini box that works you could change them over to prove if the mini box is faulty or it is to do with the link between boxes.

I swapped the mini boxes over and the other box worked fine connected to this tv as well - so I guess it seems there must be an issue with this box rather than any other fault

Hi,i have problem with sky Q box,i restart,light red is for few minutes,and blue sky as well,but after few minutes,again dissapear.

What Shall i do?

My Sky. Satellite is not working. Done all the usual checks, and removed plugs etc. still no picture. Any ideas?

Sky Q box

Text you yesterday about my main sky box not connecting to my mini boxes. You seemed to have fixed it but with about 5 hrs it disconnected again. Can't use catch-up or watch tv with my new mini box. This has been an issue for weeks now. Not a happy customer

You posted on here yesterday but we didn't fix anything. Are you seeing any onscreen messages?
