Sky Q main box nor responding to remote but mini box is OK

Seems linked to yesterday's problems reported on My Sky but virtual assistant hasn't been updated to address the problem.

 

So far 30 min in queue for phone assistance.

 

I've unplugged the main box and waited 30 seconds three times now, but it reverts to red centre and amber right lights each time and still doesn't respond to remote, whose batteries have been replaced just in case.

 

I'm reluctant to reboot the main box because the help says it will delete all recordings which I know are still there because I can't see them on my mini box!

Hi @Joint+user 

Just be aware a reboot will not delete any Recordings.

Also if you carry out a Reset Settings in the hidden menu this will also preserve all recordings.

It's OK - I just needed to press the amber light on the right of the box (and then, shamefully, put the batteries in in the remote the right way...) and it's all fine now.

 I hope this is of some use to someone......

Just be aware a reboot will not delete any Recordings.
