Sky Q lost internet connection several times a day

My sky Q is connected with an ethernet cable and i didn't have any issues for some time.

Suddenly a few months ago it started stating it had lost connection to the internet.

I've looked at a few older threads on here, but none of them have any suggestions that work.

I am now thinking it might be linked to when sky fibre. As it still states the old network name.

The only way I get the connection back is to actually power down the unit and power it back up. The connection restores no problem without any need to reset network settings or anything.

I've tried disabling WiFi, resetting network settings. Though I note resetting the network seems to re enable the WiFi.

When it loses connection resetting the network settings does not work, it's only by powering cycling the unit.

Hello,

I think one potential reason for this issue could be the network name still reflecting the old settings from when you had sky fiber.

You can try with this steps: You have to ensure that Sky Q system is running the latest firmware version or perform factory reset on your Sky Q system. This will clear any cached network settings and allow you to set it up afresh. May be this will help you to fix.

Re: Sky Q lost internet connection several times a day

Tried a factory reset it somehow picked up the old network name still.

I'm honestly at a loss, if I connect it to the WiFi it works fine but then it seems to create an issue with my WiFi and a number of devices can't connect to the router.

I'm starting to wonder if it's an issue with the hub.

Anyone got any other ideas?
