Turned on and off several times, rebooted, home aspects appear, channel picked, no sound, then no matter what button is pressed number 7 comes up then try another butto naother 7 comes up and finally the third 7 for that chanel which is islam channel for donations again with no sound any help appreciated.

It sounds like your 7 key on the remote might be sticking
May I suggest you try seeing if you can free it

I have yeah. Switched off loads, reset, reset remote and changed batteries etc

The Post answer does not mention reboots, resets or batteries @RCT1
it specifically says your 7 key on the remote might be sticking.
Your original post asks if @mcfc11 found an answer.

After checking the basics if your Sky Q remote is definitely broken/faulty, if you follow this link it should allow you to do some more troubleshooting and then it’ll send you to a form to request a replacement (apparently this is not available to customers in the ROI).

It may be quicker to purchase a new remote from a retailer or larger supermarket. If you do that as well as the above you’ll have a spare.
