Sky Q engineers .What to check before the appointment

In an earlier post I asked if it was feasible to set up Sky Q with only one cable from the LNB.  This to avoid running a second cable through our long house to where our current old fashioned Sky Box/ with single cable is sited.

My question  relates to accepting The Sky Q requirement for 2 cables from the LNB.  If we sited the main Sky Q box in an  unused room room with TV close to the  Sky dish/LNB where it would be easy to run a second cable discreetly , would we get the same benefits of Sky Q  in our living room where only a mini box would be sited ( I understand that this only requires an internet connection)

hi @RESROC

The main restriction is that only the main box is capable of 4K/UHD

For set up and in case of problems the main box would also need to be able to be hooked up to a display - although this need not be permanent

After that the mini works via ethernet or wifi

YOu probably know but use of one or more minis need a multirrom subscription

Yes, the only limitation is that mini's do not support UHD if you have that requirement.

Finally I understand, many thanks. Will have to get a youngster to crawl through a lot of roof space , with at least the original cable to guide them !
