Had the same issue. Changed Dns as suggested  which didn't help. Switched off advanced security settings on eero and downloads are now working again.

Just checked my Downloads on Sky Q and surprise..surprise it seems to be working now..thinking Sky has fixed the issue..??

Changed DNS to 1:1:1:1 yesterday - on main Q box, this appears to have sorted the problem DOWNSTAIRS - However, discovered that the  mini box, in the bedroom now wouldn't connect and of course, wouldn't let me change the DNS on that as well...

I had to return the main box to 79:79:79:79 in order to watch TV in the bedroom last night.

What is Sky doing about this embarrasing situation ?

Why couldn't you change the dns on the mini? The menu on that should work even if it doesn't have a live picture.

Thanks for the update on this issue, when sky do a new download will this happen again or have they found the solution.

@Smokie+19 I doubt this has anything to do with an update (assuming that's what you mean by a download). The same issue affected Sky+ boxes as well as Sky Q, and Sky+ boxes haven't received an update in years.

My update...spoke to sky couple of hours ago..they finally admitted it was a fault on their behalf and have gave me a £20 credit on my account 🙃

Re: Have been able to download out with Sky Q box for a few days

I've had the same issue and I'm with Talktalk. Just tried a download now and it seems to be working !!
