@G.reg the technical team this morning had no idea there was a bigger issue, he put me on hold for 15 mins, then said other users seemed to be experiencing similar problems and to keep trying over the next 48hrs.

No offer of compensation, but did try to sell me Netflix for £4.50 a month 😡

Failed to download

I can't download anything it says failed to download after wiring for ages.  Then says Failed no broadband but my network is connected.

That is a most helpful and welcome response and update G.reg....thank you. Your confirmation that Sky are aware of the problem and working on a solution is reassuring . Hopefully we shall witness a fix before too long....and avoid the need to mess with "dns" settings (whatever they are!)

Quite a few are saying it's something to do with the DNS settings whatever they are on your Wi-Fi rooter.The Sky engineer who came out to me was here an hour and he did go into my rooter but he said that it wasn't the issue and like I said he received a memo from head office telling him they were having problems with downloading...The advisor on the technical team I spoke to was fully aware of the issue and admitted that the problem was on their side..He said he had received many enquiries that day regarding this issue..I've been with Sky over 20 years and he told me depending on how long it takes them to resolve the problem I would be compensated accordingly with some credit to my account...Probably with the amount of years I've been with Sky he didn't try to sell me anything!..lol

Utility Warehouse broadband is operated in conjunction with TalkTalk if I remember correctly.

To be fair the engineer who came out to me thought it could be my TalkTalk router but he ran checks on it and it wasn't..A lot of the people who are having this issue appear to be with TalkTalk but no everyone...

No idea tbh...I was on the phone to sky for ages yesterday going through lots of restarts ...changing this changing that still no good...engineer coming out on Monday...but reading other posts it seems to be a fault with Sky themselves??

What have you changed that on...the router or the Sky Q box and how do you do that?...The Sky engineer and Sky themselves have told me the problem lies with themselves and they are working on it...
