I have telephoned Sky today as my contract is about to run out and they charge me nearly an extra £20 this month. to what I was paying.
I have contacted them today to discuss a renewal and they want an additional £8 per month for Sky. Q taking my bill to £43 per month from £35.
This is what I currently get:
If I were to go onto Sky Stream, I could get what I am getting now plus broadband for £31 per month which is a saving of £12. per month. The issue that I have is you cannot record on stream and I would lose what I have bought and recorded on my Sky Q box.
It just seems like Sky is trying to push everyone to a streaming service. I would be more than happy to pay an additional cost because I realise that costs increase year on year by £8 per month, which just seems excessive when there is nothing that there is nothing for them to do other than to push some buttons
You probably think I'm really out of line, and if so I apologise.
Thanks Joel

@Griffij looking at Sky Q as a new customer the Sky Signature is £31 with Netflix included and £12 for the HD +UHD package (this add on gives you Netflix in UHD and 4 screen) total £43
Sky Stream on a 18 month contract is £26 with Netflix(standard with ads) included, £6 for UHD and Atmos plus to get Netflix in UHD with 4 screen there is an additional charge of £11 total £43

Think they do a bit more than pushing some buttons. Like give the Premier League billions.

Netflix pricing changed in December for new customers & I believe renewals on both Q & Stream which will inevitably increase any subscriptions as they are no longer adjusted by the SKY HD & UHD add ons & need separate Boost add ons to get the other levels.
From Mid December 2023 the levels on Q are :
Netflix (Base level) is the With Ads service - 2 Screens in HD (list cost £4)
Boost to Netflix Standard - 2 Screens in HD Ad free (list price an additional £6 thus £10 in total for Netflix)
Boost to Netflix Premium - 4 Screens up to UHD/HDR (list price an additional £11 thus £15 in total for Netflix)
P.S. When you pay via SKY, you still cannot, currently, add the 'extra member' add on for use by family members not in your physical household that is available for those paying directly to Netflix
@Griffij I know that sometimes Stream does get better offers but I admit I am surprised by such a difference

The actual list price for Sky Stream on an 18month contract with comparable channels/UHD/Ad skipping/Netflix Premium would actually be £48pm.
Remember there are actually fewer channels on Stream than on Sky Signature via Q.
You can, via sites like Topcashback, get a discounted rate as a new customer (£39pm for the above 18 month deal).
Sky do want to push streaming but still want to make money so it's harder to get a really good deal these days on any of their services.
