Sky Q constantly losing connection to router

keep losing connection between the my router and the main Sky Q box. This is connected via network cable and has given no problems since newbroadband provider istallation over 12 months ago.

Since we lost the service temporarily a couple of weeks ago (as most others did), the main Sky Q box is now intermittently losing connection to the router. This has now affected the mini boxes as they will not connect, due to them thinking their is no network connection.

I have tried the following:-

Unplugged the Sky Q main box, followed all the steps for setting up and the internet connection it won't recognise the cable connection.

I have then tried to connect wirelessly, again following all the steps and the internet keeps dropping out and then briefly showing as connected before dropping out again.

I have reset the router multiple times, no difference.

I have ran connectivity checks and they all appear to be fine.

Hi @Niknak88

Ethernet connection to main Q box should be faultless.

On the main Q box and first carry out a Network reset with the Ethernet connected.
Network Reset found in Q box Home - Settings - Setup - Network.
Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side. Select connect wired to non Sky Router (or Sky router if on Sky Broadband). Do not carry out any WPS and just wait for the box to connect. It may take a couple of minutes. If it does not connect there is an issue with the Ethernet cable connection.
Assuming your mini boxes are on WiFi you must keep the main Q box WiFi on.

You can turn off 2.4GHz wifi on the Q though, that might help

That outage was a lot longer than 2 weeks ago. More like 4 months.
