Sky Q box won't stop rewinding or fast forwarding without pushing home button

When fast forwarding or rewinding recorded programmes Sky  Q box won't stop when i push play, i have to push the home button then it stops and I can control the box again. Just a niggle but annoying.

@Cyclops1688 Have you tried rebooting your main Q box ie
putting your box into Standby then switching it off at the wall for 30 seconds
switch it back on then follow the on screen instructions

If this is a mini box it is happening on first reboot the main box then the mini box

@Cyclops1688 Try resetting your remote.
Press the buttons 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then press 1 & 3 together until the led flashes twice then follow onscreen instructions to repair the remote.

hi @Cyclops1688

Do the recordings pause OK when you press the pause/play button - if not it sounds like a remote button issue

BTW As an alternative, voice control is very useful

handy controls are :
Skip nn minutes
Go To nn minutes
Back nn minutes

You can use hours, minutes & seconds or mix e.g. Go to 1hour 15 minutes

Skip nn minutes is very handy for adverts and you get used to the length on regular used channels (Many are around the 4 minute mark)

You can also say Go To Start

As well as "Pause" & "Play"

Voice control in general is very useful:

They sometimes work sometimes don't.
