We have recently updated our broadband with Sky max hub and also have a new Sky q box.
we have 3 mini boxes in which 2 are connecting and working fine. However the one in our garden room will not connect to the Sky q box. We have wired internet in there which is working.
also we loss WiFi connection half way up the garden.
any ideas on what's wrong?

Hi
Did you manage to solve this ok, thinking of doing something very similar and interested to know how you connected to the internet and found a resolution for the mini box in garden room.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreMini boxes via ethernet should work fine. They do need to be able to "see" the Q directly if you're not on the older sky router. Not sure what was causing the issue in this thread
but wifi stopping working halfway up the garden is totally normal. I'm amazed if that didn't happen before the sky max router was introduced.

Thank you, does the q box have to be connected via ethernet in order for the mini box 'to see' it via ethernet? currently my q and mini boxes in house all connected by wifi via sky max hub, will I have to ethernet cable q box and other mini to router in order for mini box in garden room to work via ethernet?
